Helix is an innovative, fast-paced human service agency in Minnesota working to eliminate barriers in accessing mental health and housing services to populations throughout Minnesota that are under-served. Helix provides four (4) areas of service across the state of Minnesota: Community-Based Mental Health Services, Adult Targeted Case Management, Community Health Worker Services, and Housing Support. Helix provides culturally responsive care that is individualized to meet the needs of people served.
Mental Health Diagnostic Assessments
Mental health diagnostic assessments are essential for accessing mental health services and determining steps for recovery. Helix provides easy access to mental health clinicians who are trained in completing mental health diagnostic assessments and are willing to assist clients in making referrals for requested services.
Therapy and Counseling
Helix offers therapy and counseling by Minnesota licensed clinicians who are experts in the areas of generational trauma, housing instability or houselessness, and co-occurring disorders. Helix clinicians understand the importance of clients having their fundamental needs and human rights addressed as a part of the healing and therapeutic process.
Adult Mental Health Targeted Case Management (MH-TCM)
Adult mental health targeted case management provides coordination of services to adults with mental illness to improve overall functioning in areas identified by the client. Helix case managers will engage clients in a person-centered, trauma informed approach that allows the individual to lead in their own recovery.
Health Education
Community Health Workers (CHW) provide their clients with education to help them navigate health care and social services. The Helix CHW works under the direction of a physician and mental health professional to ensure clients have the necessary information to develop a healthy lifestyles.
